This saturday I went to CAIRO to hangout with Toby and to check out the gallery and store. It was a really great space, essentially a perfect place to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon. We did some drawings and chatted with random people who were coming to check out the space. Then Chris came to hang out and he made a nice Father's Day card for his dad. Matt showed up after his job interview and we got lunch. We hung out a little bit longer and then went home. It was a very nice place with interesting art and clothing, totally a great place to check out.

COMPILATION
I have been thinking recently about putting out a compilation of songs by a whole lot of different bands that I like. Most likely some on CD-R and some on cassette.
I would like to put the following bands on the compilation:
.Talbot Tagora
.Little Party and the Bad Business
.The Last Slice of Butter
.Dimples
.Paper Whale
.Shearing Pinx
.Mutators
.Abe Vigoda
.Mika Miko
.Ima Gymnast
.Flexions
.Seahouse
.Small Breed
.Medieval Women
I want to e-mail all of them and ask if it's "okay".

NEW SHORT
As I scroll up and down on my iTunes music library my eyes go in and out of focus and the combination of the different columns almost form strange figures out of text within the window. Sometimes I move the middle finger of my right hand from the scroll up arrow to the scroll down arrow and just zone out while gazing deep into my iTunes window. The weirdest thing I have ever seen while doing this was something that looked like this blocky silhouette of a person, a woman in fact...the figure appeared to be wearing a skirt, holding something that if your eyes were strained hard enough looked kind of like a butterfly. My mind was blown a little bit. What is the etymology of all those blurred out words I often wonder, the origin behind The Who's "Baba O'Riley" or perhaps something more generic but no doubt as interesting. Do people choose words to use simply because they sound better next to other words? Once I watched a four hour documentary that was a compilation of three different Noam Chomsky lectures. His words sound really nice together, but thats probably because he is the number one linguistics professor at MIT. In my room I have an American flag hanging up, would Chomsky advise me to burn it or would he just think that my not so subtle attempt at irony is dumb? How does he know so much about our world? I would love to meet him because there has to be at least one or two things that you could tell him that he isn't aware of. I could probably tell him about how much it sucks to have an over-drawn bank account or maybe what is the best way to go about rolling a perfect spliff. The second one is actually wrong, I roll really shitty spliffs...non of my friends want to smoke them. After I roll them they all get really sad and decide to do knife hits instead, which is fine except for the fact that I am terrible at knife hits. I wonder if Chomsky has ever done a knife hit. He most likely hasn't, but I'm pretty sure he has smoked weed before...he must have. In the 60's he was good friends with those anti-war people, flower children, hippies, the un-shaven. Those people smoked a lot of weed...they must have extended the peace pipe to Chomsky and thus a mutual interest between hippies and nerds was established. This friendship would be tumultuous at times but when it was good it was great. Like the time I saw a guy with dread-locks wearing a DEVO shirt. That was cool. Unity. Thats what the 60's were about I think. I think that the time I live in as made me a lot less interesting, in the 60's there were no Myspace profiles, if you were lame you had no escape from it because everyone could see exactly what you were about. There was no way for you to write something random in your "about me" to make yourself seem more deep and interesting. You were just a douche out in the open. Being a douche in private is a lot easier, no one can call bullshit on you cause no one is certain of your true douche-bagery. Maybe I am being very harsh. The other day I had this weird red bump at the area that your fore-arm and your bi-cep meet, you know, the area that is 180 degrees from your elbow. Anyways, one of my co-workers asked me if it was a trak mark, like from doing heroin. No way. That is for losers. If I need to be that relaxed I will just take two thera-flus and put on my Sade record. I don't want scars and missing teeth for the sake of relaxation. I would rather have two anxiety attacks a day than that. It just kind of made me feel uncomfortable that this person who I work with would assume that first before anything else, and ask if thats what it was rather than just asking what it was. It bummed me out, the whole day I kept trying not to show that area off, and I was trying to think of ways to make it go away. Scratching only made it worse. I had to think of something else but by the time I needed to think of something else I was off of work so I just took the bus home and hung out on my couch for a few hours. I also checked my Myspace, and went out for a cigarette. That was it.

INTERACTIONS
For a few days in January of this year I decided to write down my interactions with Ian Judd. The following is what I wrote down during that time.
January 29th, 2008
My interaction with Ian was brief today. I stayed home from work because I was sick and I gave Sarah a call to ask her if she wanted to get together after she was done with work. Sarah didn't answer initially but called me back, in that time my plans had changed and I decided to go to a concert. She asked if I wanted to have dinner with her and Ian before hand and I said that I would love to.
We went to pizza. Once there I said hello to both of them and ordered my food. I noticed that Ian ordered two slices of some crazy looking pizza without tomato sauce and a bunch of other ingredients. He said it tasted "hella good". I told Sarah about buying my plane ticket to San Francisco and she seemed worried about having enough time to see her best friend Emily while we would be there, I assured her that all would go smoothly. I went to the bathroom and when I returned Sarah asked me if I would like to go see her friend Jeff's band instead of my regular plans and Ian said "Oh yeah, don't go see two of you're favorite bands." I said that he made a good point and I told Sarah that I was going to stick to my original plans, but would love to hang out with her until I had to go. While leaving the pizza place Ian gave both Sarah and I very big hugs and went to school. I went to Sarah's. While I was at the concert Ian called to ask how much it was and I told him that it was 15 dollars and he said that he would come to the show, I said "awesome". Ian never showed up.
January 30th, 2008
Today I saw Ian at work briefly. I was in the common play area at work and he walked in with a plate of food. I asked him if he was on lunch and he said "yeah". Then he asked me how the Liars concert was and I said it was great and then he told me about why he couldn't make it. Our other friend Casey just got a job at the Stranger and I talked to his boss about going along with him (Casey) to an upcoming Marilyn Manson concert. I told Ian and he said that Casey had already promised him the extra ticket. I got upset. After work Ian, Sarah and I went to Anna Purna and got Indian food. Ian said that I could go to the concert because he wasn't that big of a fan of Marilyn Manson. Neither am I.
January 31st, 2008
Today Ian called in sick to work so I didn't get a chance to see him that much. After work I called him and asked him if he was okay and he said that he was fine but he had some errands to run and asked if it was cool if he came over to my place and then got a ride back home. I said that was fine since I had plans with his roommate.
This is all true.

Very Short Stories
Short Story I:
So, awhile ago there lived this man, and he was very industrious and understood what it took to earn a dollar. The man was perhaps unscrupulous in a way. After a short period of time the man had made a good life for himself, he had a big house and a few nice cars and he even owned a good boat. What the man didn't have was power, he wasn't in a position to make the big moves. He had good looks and could be with whomever he chose -- nothing lacked in his life except his ability to control his surroundings. He often felt helpless.
Short Story II:
Sometimes we would stand in my kitchen trying to decide how to get our lives together. You would say things like "It's only been two weeks since I last got money from my folks, I can't ask again so soon."
I agreed. It just seemed so strange because it felt like we made all the right decisions. We went to college, we got good jobs but we just didn't know how to grow up I guess.
Other times we would just sit on the roof of my apartment complex and have tequila shots and chain smoke. We talked for hours and thought life was amazing. We felt great.
Short Story III:
What did you think of that movie?
"I like it."
"It was okay."
"I don't like it very much."
"I love it."
"I hate it."
Short Story IV:
April, 10th 2008.
Today I woke up and felt terrible. I called work and told them I was unable to come in. I went to Bauhaus with my roommate and got coffee. Then I went to the doctors office and found out I was anemic. Afterwards I went to the Honeyhole and ate lunch. Currently I am at the Vera Project with Casey and Dale. They're mad.

SCENARIO I
How would you re-act if the following happened to you:
You wake up one morning and everything is as usual. You go about your normal routine which eventually leads you to the bathroom to do what needs to be done. You lift the toilet lid and resting in the toilet is one of the biggest turds you've ever seen. Your roommates/parents are away on vacation and have been gone for the past few days and you have been home alone with no one over for the last few days, and no one has an extra set of keys to your apartment/house. The previous night you were completely sober and you know without a shadow of a doubt you did not shit this monster turd. What do you do?

LOTS
Would anyone be interested in starting a penpalship? I think it would be really fun to send art and stories back and forth with someone and maybe compile all the material into a zine of some sort. If anyone is interested please feel free to send me a postcard or letter. My address is:
310 12th AVE E. #108
Seattle, WA 98102
I also recently found out that I am anemic, anyone have any sort of suggestions about how to get more iron in my system? It would be a great help. Thanks.
